If you're through with the Twilight series, but still have vamps on the brain, pick up Charlaine Harris' funny, clever Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire reads (which begin with Dead Until Dark). I just finished the sixth of the series--which is about to become an HBO show, TrueBlood in September--and am HOOKED! (P.S. They're NOT scary. Well, not really. I'm a wimp, and I've read them all without anyone around!)

My friend in film highly recommended this movie to me when it hit the theaters, but I didn't rush to see it. The fam and I ordered it on pay-per-view for lack of other options, and it was cute, charming, sweet, poignant, all the things you want out of a light-hearted flick. Two thumbs up; add it to your Netflix queue! And Amy Adams, ZOMG is she freakin' adorable!
